Injury Management
Injury management involves both prevention
and intervention. Prevention begins with a walk-though of
the workplace where selected photographs are taken to identify potential
ergonomic concerns and risk factors. A special Injury Prevention
Training educates employees on basic anatomy and related risk factors,
causes of cumulative trauma and soft-tissue damage, and prevention
strategies are identified in an interactive workshop format. Injury
Prevention Training emphasizes worker accountability for safety
and injury prevention. See Ergonomic
Consulting for more about injury prevention.
Our Early Return-to-Work
Consultants, in cooperation with the employee's supervisor, will
identify temporary, light-duty work tasks to expedite the return
to work of the injured employee. We will communicate with the attending
physician and other medical providers by telephone, fax, or in person
to assure that the medical treatment plan keeps a timely return-to-work
focus. We are skilled in identifying medical treatment options that
can facilitate the employee's medical recovery. Our consultants
keep the HR Manager, workers' compensation claims examiner, and
the immediate supervisor informed of all return-to-work releases
to assure cooperative teamwork.
